Sports Physicals Update

We realize that many middle school and high school students, as well as those going off to college in the fall, will need their well child physicals (which also fulfills the sports physical requirements) and immunizations/records updated before the 2020-2021 school year begins.

The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) requires that all students have a “sports physical” within the previous 12months before the start of the sports season.  We STRONGLY encourage our Piedmont Peds patients to have your well child/sports physical done in our office, your “medical home” with one of our doctors instead of through a provider at your school because it is so important that we address your past medical history, recurrent issues or injuries, specialist visits, growth parameters and more.

We are continuing to do ONLY well child checkups and physicals during our morning/before-lunch hours.   All sick visits will be seen in the afternoon shift, but we can also accommodate well checks in the afternoon as well if that works better for your family’s schedule.

We have been diligently cleaning, and re-cleaning, our office and we have extensive measures in place to maintain social distancing within the office.  We want you all to feel comfortable coming into our office, and we believe it is safe to do so.

We know that there could be a mad rush this summer for all of our patients to get in for these appointments and we are committed to providing extra/flexible hours to do so.
